Day 4: Tuesday, October 30

• Jayhawk Nation Murals, Wescoe, 10am – 2pm
• Homecoming Night at Dining Halls – 4:30pm – 7:00pm
• Pep Rally, Student Recreation Center Parking Lot, 6:30pm – 8pm
• Basketball Tournament, KU Rec Center

Jayhawk Nation Murals:

All participating groups must submit a sketch of their mural proposal in adherence to the theme Jayhawk Nation by October 19, 2007. The top 10 mural finalists will be notified on September 22, 2006 and will be able to obtain their blank mural canvases on the 22nd. Murals will be due for display on Wescoe Beach by 9:00am on Tuesday, October 30th. Students will be able to vote on their favorite mural throughout the day. The 10 murals will be hung in the Strong Hall Rotunda throughout the rest of the week with the judging taking place on Friday, October 6th. All murals must meet the theme of Jayhawk Nation.

Pep Rally:

This year's pep rally will be held in Parking Lot 90 in front of the Student Recreation Center Performances by the Jayhawk Jingle finalists, KU marching Band, Big and Baby Jay, and the KU Spirit Squad will be scheduled throughout the night along with pep talks from Men's Football Coach Mark Mangino, Women's Basketball Coach Bonnie Hendrickson, and members of the KU football team. Local businesses will have the opportunity to set up a booth and a DJ will be on hand for the event. In case of inclement weather the Pep Rally will be moved to the Gridiron Room in the Burge Union.

Homecoming 3 on 3 Basketball:

Registration for 3 on 3 Basketball will take place October 28th through October 29th at the Student Recreation and Fitness Center. University of Kansas Recreation Services will organize the logistics of the event. The tournament will take place on Monday, October 29th beginning with pool play at 4:00pm on the outdoor courts at the SRFC. This tournament is open to all students at the University of Kansas.
